Slow Download/mbps jumping high to low
Recently I notice my download speeds have decreased a lot. I check everything and tried looking up tips, nothing seems to be working. I run around 1tb of internet speed, none of my friends in the same region as me are not really having an issue. ( I tired changing regions nothing changed ) I’m kinda at stand still right now, if anybody has had this problem or could point me in the right direction, that would be swell.

use different DNS such as cloudflare or Google
Cloud :
1.1.1.1
1.0.0.1
google :
8.8.8.8
8.8.4.4
if that didn't help then something is wrong with your ISP , good luck

You sure its not own disk that is busy 100%, then network will reduce its speed. work as intended protocol standard. ( use windows resource maneger ) steam DL manager wont tell you if disk is busy with other task. aka backup or disk deframentation. and so many other app access disk , even seen a steam user notice other steaming app usage at own disk.

all this is known as cant write fast enough or anti-virus app cause isse with live scan to unpack files even. so many off topic here.

Contact your ISP. Reboot your router. Flush dns.

Steam can obliterate your connection. your downloads speeds are fundamentally limited by

1) your disk IO
2) your CPU
3) your anti-virus killing your disk IO performance
4) Your ISP
