So i tried to redeem a code and it says an error

you bought the Steam Gift Card from where??????

kindly take note that if you are from US and the currency is USD, then you can't buy and use Steam Gift Cards from other countries at all.

e.g people from US can't go and buy and use Steam Gift Cards from EU at all.

they gave me another one but that too was not working so they refunded but still can't figure out the problem

You should always ask the store for proof of activation. If they are selling cards that have not had a code authorised on the spot or generated through the EPOS then they aren't selling the cards legitimately.

If it was legit then it may be a case of the activation taking longer but it's quite strange that they gave you a refund so easily.

i highly suspect that those Steam Gift Cards are already "activated" by someone else.

and yet the "store" still go sell the "USED Steam Gift Cards" just to earn profits from unsuspecting customers.

two times in a row using 2 different Steam Gift Cards and yet failed to activate

this itself is very highly suspicious whether the "store" is selling "unused" Steam Gift Cards or not.

p.s here is a recommendation, go and buy Steam Digital Gift Cards next time OP.

Invalid means the code entered is wrong or it's being inputted correctly but hasn't been activated either due to a EPOS network delay or the card has been stolen from retail elsewhere.
