What the cheapest way to buy steam wallet....
I have a girlfriend that lives in Turkey and I cannot send her steam wallet gift cards by steam because of restrictions so I would like to know what would be the cheapest way to send her wallet code.

buying cd keys for steam wallets from third-party sites really expensive, I really mean it, a 1000TL will cost be around 1500 TL that's like 500TL extra that I have to pay

So what should I do?

Wire her the money and have her buy physical steam wallet cards in a local shop if they have those.

I'm not asking you to physically send her the money.

Did you never wire money in your life?

If she lives in Iran she should be making her purchases from there as that's her place of residence.

Hmmmmm, cheapest.....

So, respecting ones culture and its DOs and DON'Ts would be not to involve steam in the first place?

That probably would not be called the cheapest yet the most respectful?
Cheapest would be to go to school get a good education travel see the world and meet places that would be acceptable for all involved then tell STEAM I'm cheap we don't need you anymore, Thanks for the chance to be a part of something yet now I really am......

You go the cheap route...to the point of I work out for free......and life has a happy ending then perhaps.....yeah... this discussion was a curiousity...Please define cheap....

I'm going to bet $5 you just read the title and wrote this comment.

In my opinion I would just buy and gift her the stuff she wants. That way nobody would have to mess with transferring funds from one person to another only the content you gift is transferred and the only financial transaction is on your account. She can choose to accept or decline the gift. If she declines you get you get refunded. If you already have card codes use them on your account to add funds to your wallet.

Another option is to share the gift card codes with her so she can add them to her own Steam account.

Sounds like their are restrictions to turkey so that would block gifting. Really not much OP can do. There are other payment methods you could do like bank transfers, checks, etc but they'd all be outside of steam.

I've had some experiences with sending and receiving games as gifts to and from other countries. I don't remember any of them having a region restriction. Some of them had a minor issue with currency exchange. We corrected that by looking up the exchange rate and purchasing a digital gift card for the person through Steam:
https://store.steampowered.com/digitalgiftcards/selectgiftcard#giftcard_faq
See the 'learn more' link (or FAQ at the bottom of page, that's where the link goes anyway)

There may be nothing that can be done through Steam, as you said. If that's the case and a digital gift card doesn't work, you're right, the only options left are other forms of fund transfers like bank transfers, PayPal, CashApp, Venmo, etc.

I'm not sure digital gift cards have restrictions. I didn't see anything about digital cards on the knowledge base pages about gifting:

Contact Steam Support.

you failed to go to this Steam Support article about Steam Wallet Gift Cards.

https://help.steampowered.com/en/faqs/view/78E3-7431-1E88-AD59

it is written here which i'm going to quote.

Are there country restrictions on Steam Wallet codes?

Yes. Each Steam User Account is associated with a specific currency, which you can see in the top right corner of your Steam Client. You may encounter an error if you try to activate a Steam Wallet Code issued in a different currency than the one of your Steam User Account.

p.s Steam Gift Cards contains Steam Wallet Codes.

Yo, just buy some random liquid steam market item like a csgo knife, send it to her, and then she can sell it for balance, or buy her a turkish gift card on g2a or some other site

OP - and anyone else who sees this - don't do this. It will come back to bite you when the transaction bings the auto-flag fraud system.
