Download a game or software without workshop content/items

Hi, title says it all. I want to know if it's possible for especially Wallpaper Engine. Whenever I try to download the software steam also downloads with my subscribed content which equals to hundreds of gb's wallpapers.

same goes for GMOD and Arma 3, for each I have over hundred Workshop mods subscribed and this really bothers me since I have to download them, store in my HDD without selecting which content to download and which to not except for unscubscribing the content in order to play both games...

You unsub from the content that you don't want to download.
