Click the "STEAM LIBRARY FOLDERS" button.

Once you are at the game folder, select all of the items within it, and right click. In the menu that is created, click ''Properties". This will tell you the actual amount of space your game is taking up.
You can alternatively go to Properties > Local Files from your steam library, but this will only tell you how much the game itself takes up, and will not account for mods or DLC. For example, Garry's Mod claims to only take up 3.99gb on my drive in steam, but in reality it takes up over 10gb because of the mods I have installed.
