Can't download any Demos right now

I was downloading a bunch of demos to level up my Next Fest steam badge (really small games that only take a few seconds to download each)... I downloaded & played about 30 of them, but now when I go to download any further Demos,

I click the Download button to install the demo, but nothing happens... it just refreshes the page, and the download doesn't start at all. Even when I opened up Steam in my web browser and tried downloading from the store page there, it opens up my steam client to download it, but nothing happens at all

Anyone else experiencing this or know how to fix it?

Here's a tip if it happens to any of you guys: Go to Settings, Downloads, and change your "download region" to a different place (like i live in USA and i changed mine to the UK), it fixes the issue.

I'm just downloading the 5th of 5 demos right now, so it's not that they're undownloadable generally.

Steam does limit the number of game keys you can activate in too short a period, so it might be something to do with that.

Does it give you additional xp as well after 10 demos? I have dowloaded 30 games which is equivalent to 300 xp but on my badge it only shows 100 xp

The max limit of xp is 100, yes.

Thank Gaben they did that cause downloading 100 demos is just not fun or interactive gameplay, 10 I could do, 10 is reasonable.

It worked for sales too, I plan on buying a bunch of the games I demoed.

There are idler apps for this. No game downloads necessary. Have over 1k demos "played."

I have morals so I care. Also I'm curious as to what having 1000+ demos "played" even gets you?

You have a private profile so its not like you can show off your idling skills.
