I hear myself when I use Steam Voice Chat

I know that this is a Steam issue because I do not have this problem when I use video conferencing software. I am using Win 10, Version 10.0.19043 Build 19043.

I use a headset to eliminate feedback from my speakers and I disabled all other microphones. I even hear an echo in games when I use remote play.,

Any ideas?

maybe is from one of your friend, ef not go to settings and try switch from default to your mic/headset

Check your mic sensitivity. Check if you have your mic to close to your headphones. Check if your near another mic or speaker. It could be your mic or your friends mic. It is more than likely your mic sensitivity which can be fixed through steam - settings - broadcasting microphone preferences or you can check it via another console in a different console settings to see if it is the microphone.
