Steam always showing me as online

So i noticed that despite me not having the phone app open or my pc turned on that my steam account still shows me as online (i looked at my profile through google chrome), ive asked a friend and he says that im "away". Ive done a fair bit of googleing and it seems like this is a bug that might have surfaced again, can anyone confirm this?

Things ive tried to fix it:
-deauthorize all devices
-log out of the steam app and out of my desktop

EDIT:

somehow fixed itself after opening a game, closing it and then closing the steam application on my desktop

EDIT 2:

even after spamming the "go offline" button, it only works for a couple of minutes and it shows me as online again

im kinda confused right now but starting a game and closing it again and then closing steam on my desktop has worked, one thing is should probably mention too is that ive recently reinstalled windows on my desktop and while doing that also wiped my entire c drive which steam was installed on, so idk if it has anything to do with it but the problem appeared yesterday after my first gaming session after i had reinstalled windows

just gonna leave this here if anyone runs into the same issue

another thing to note: sometimes it helps spamming the "go offline" button under settings in the steam app

nevermind only works for a couple of minutes

looks like force closing the app on my phone helped

last edit, looks like im a paranoid and impatient idiot, after just closing the steam app normaly i also appear as offline, i guess it just takes longer to update to offline on mobile then on pc or the issue resolved itself while i was trying to fix it
