Lost my gmail account - how to change my email on steam WITHOUT access to old email

Yeah so, like it says in title I lost access to my Gmail account LITERALLY yesterday and now I'm rushing around in a panic trying to save all the accounts attached to that email. Like Steam. I'm trying to add a phone number in to my Steam account, but it wants to verify that it's me doing this, in my own account right now, with the email that I cannot access.

Same problem, I can't just switch my email accounts without verifying that it's me on the one email account that I have no access to. I'm at a loss, and trying to contact Steam support is ALSO going to send an email to the email address that I'm locked out of. I feel like I'm banging my head against the wall, wondering why it's not breaking open. I don't want to lose my account, does anyone have any ideas?

Theres an "I don't have it" button for everything, including email confirmation.

If you can't restore your access to your old account, you will have to contact Steam Support:

Thank you I didn't actually see THIS guide I've been reading three different guides on different sites and my brain is spinning. I'm gonna follow this and try it. Thank you!

Did they change it? Before, you could change email in client without access to old email.

Should be resolved soon, I got in touch with Steam support and they're being helpful.
