im trying gift someone a gift and steam is telling me that this one person im trying to gift is '' not yet eligible to receive this gift'''

looking up the issue it seems that i have to wait 3 days to gift them since i added them recently,

however i've had people add me just to gift me something instantly without having to wait 3 days....how do i bypass this restoration ?

Then it is possible that your account is flagged and prevented from buying gifts with wallet funds. You'll need Support to confirm it. If you tried to buy the gift with different means of payment, you could test it out for yourself.

Steam is cracking down on accounts that appear to be using wallet funds in a commercial way. If their algorithm suspects your account is possibly doing that, it flags your account and prevents you from using wallet funds for gifting. You have to wait for Steam's response to see if that is the case.

That's a different error than the one you mentioned first

You can wait a couple of hours (without trying) or take it to Support

i have no idea why or how steam determine my account is being used commercially, i just hope my account was just caught in a crossfire and can be fixed/saved

Given what others have said, there won't be any fixing. If they didn't offer to remove the flag when you initially contacted them, chances are it's going to stay that way.

And again, it's not been determined that you were using it for commercial activity, it just *appears* as though it was. Valve is going to err on the side of caution in regards to possible fraud. And you can still gift games with non-wallet funds and your wallet funds can still be used for your own game/market purchases.
