Downloads error "no internet connection"

So I have only been playing offline for the last month or so, I logged in this weekend and many of my games say they need an update. Everything else seems to be working, I can go to the store, I can see my games in my library, I am here writing this all in steam client, but everything in my library that says I need an update however, when I click download, it tries one time for a few seconds and then gives up and says manifest not available. Every time I try to update in the download manager after that, it says I have "no internet connection". Any ideas on what that could be.

Update: ok 2 of them went through, but the others still say no manifest available or no internet connection.

things already tried: (also failed)
Restart Computer more than once

Clear Download Cache did not change anything

Repair Library Folder made it worse

Verify Local Files said I still do not have an internet connection

Change Download Region No change

if you can dl steam installer try that reinstall it over old one and see if it can fix outdate version.

also steam://flushconfig ( maybe that can fix it, but i doubt it. )

"no internet connection" smae as blocked or not open anymore

Depending on how Steam does their error handling, every connection problem in an underlying layer could cause the "no internet connection" error message - also a 401 Unauthorized ^^

yeah , but still reflect back at not been online in month's , we have no clue if this is multi issue in top of each other or system or security over time have change something and now it popup then he go online and steam get a issue but with what.

ask any user here its weekly update its client with minor or mayor things depend what you use.

yeah, if i didnt have months between now and the last time I was active, I might have a better starting point. I do have "some" of the games updating now though so thats a start.

Ya, It will be hard to figure out what missed change caused the game update problem. I'm afraid Zoekoff, that you will have to remove all of the flags and let Steam update and you'll have to live with the new UI T_T

yeah, if i didnt have months between now and the last time I was active, I might have a better starting point. I do have "some" of the games updating now though so thats a start.

Space-engineers and Osiris new dawn still do not want to play though.

yep just an update, I disabled steam updates back in 2019 to keep the old ui, and that worked till some recent update. But I had to update to get the downloads to work again.
