Help please (downlaod files) SOLVED im ♥♥♥♥♥♥ stupid and wiped the download that was necessary and ♥♥♥♥♥♥ it

Recently i bought a game on steam and i set it to download. While it was downloading, i cleared my download cache to speed it up, but when i reopened steam, it said it finished downloading (which is not true because i only had installed 10gb of around 120gb) and when i pressed play it just greeted me with: "Ready to launch"
But i couldnt play the game. I verified integrity of the files and it did not do anything so i browsed the files of the game and the only thing there was a vdf. file called "installscript.vdf". Can somebody please help me.

Never wipe something while something else is being done. Your wiped something relevant to the DL and screwed it.

In library Right games >Properties > local files > Verify

Go ahead and uninstall game, head to game folder, and delete to ensure nothing left behind. Now install, and there you go.

Thanks, i did that and realised what i did. My speeds are ♥♥♥♥ aswell so i have 200kb/s haha

That pretty bad speeds there, gonna take you really long time to download 120GB.

I know. Its probably because my wifi dongle came with my pc so i im getting a new one

Wifi can be sucky even if they're good. If its a USB dongle you could try repositioning it for a better signal. USB extension cable so its close to the door will help.

For actual gaming you're better of being wired. Even if Wifi gets faster speeds it's always goiong to be susceptible to interference which can affect pings. Not an issue if streaming videos as the buffering hides ping spikes but gaming is a different matter
