Open your volume mixer, more channels open when more stuff is run. Check the Sliders.
Having one out of wack mostly(slider full), even after setting them.
Something seems to max one slider out. So the mixer will show you all channels active, adjust from there.
Headsets with built in Pre` amps seem more sensitive than just a basic headset and mic.
Don't max a Headsets volume or sliders, with built in amp. Get a comfortable setting on it then adjust any software sliders accordingly after.
That's how i get past my noise(static), I've had it no matter what hardware is being used.
Plain headset mic combos were less prone to it for me i noticed.
