GTA V is taking five days to install?

I purchased GTA V yesterday and began downloading it, initially it said that it would take 17 days to download, I left it overnight and right now it says 5 days. It has downloaded around 1%, why is it having this issue? I am new to steam and PC gaming, but my internet isn't bad, it's moderate.

Is there any way to fix this issue? I am downloading this on a new PC, Alienware 17 in. laptop, I don't think it is my computer. So far I have only downloaded Google Chrome and Webroot. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thank you in advance.

It says 0.23 Mbps, but normally I have much faster speeds than this. I downloaded a different game on my 2013 Mac in about 20-25 minutes. Do you think it is an internet issue?

If that is what the speed test says, contact your ISP if you pay for more.

0.23 is very very slow... What is it normally?

Short of making sure your lan drivers are installed not much you can do but run speedtest to see what speed you get.

Ps,use a cable ie rj45 not wifi.

Currently the speed test says I am getting 0.23 Mbps, but this is not what I normally get. I think I'm going to contact my internet provider.

3-4 Mbps is still relatively slow. It would take you 66 hours to download the game (83GB)

Im afraid you'll have to just wait it out or invest in faster internet. Im not sure where you live but here in the Uk we get 50 Mbps average and I get 220 Mbps here in the countryside. Some places can hit 1Gbps+ if there are the right providers

That's what I have and Verizon loves throttling on the weekends. Nothing over 450mb/s today, so far.
