I bought the original Skyrim on CD and registered it to Steam, then in the Main game once I completed the main story quest and other unique achievements these expansion would appear.

That is no where near as good as most mods out there.
I disagree. It's a fine add-on, and it does improve the textures. Makes it alright in my book. I don't know what "good" is. (aside from posting in the correct section, that is.)
But it´s kind of silly the store search doesn´t list the original game anymore. Because it has much lower system requirements. That´s just bad.
And that is your opinion, sure.
That was Bethesda's call after SE came out.
