How to change default install location?
Before I reinstalled windows, the game folder on the 2nd drive was "D:\Speles\Steam", now when trying to create a folder in steam, the only thing it gives me is "D:\SteamLibrary", no way to change it, changing the libraryfolders.vdf just changes it back to "D:\SteamLibrary" after I restart steam.

Any way to change the location?

I solved it, change the "libraryfolders.vdf" file both in "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\config" and "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps". Now the games which were on the hdd have showed up and seems to work.
You could also just use the Storage Manager to choose what drive and folder you want to specifically to use. No editing files required.

Wait, lmao, another instance of me being blind af,
But it won’t let me move the folder to a different location on the same drive. It’s says there’s already one there for that drive.

Correct. Valve changed it again since this post was created.

This thread was quite old before the recent post, so we're locking it to prevent confusion.
