Missing downloading files.

I'm not sure why the ♥♥♥♥ it appears and I can't even download a game, right now.

I double-checked everything my disk, repairing it, rebooting and nothing!
It never happened before and it only happens with this stupid new downloading UI update. Is there any fixes? Otherwise, I don't want to download heavy game to wait 1 hour and struggle.

Update: If you ask "verify game's cache". No, that solution didn't worked. I'm still stuck with it.

What? If you're missing files, you can't repair it... That like saying to a car mechanic please fix my car, but you don't have a car, how does that work.

You have to do verify game files. Right click on game > properties > Local files > click on verify integrity of game files, that it. This downloads your missing files, and replaces corrupted files, unless your game too far out of date, it may just redownload the game.

You have to do verify game files. Right click on game > properties > Local files > click on verify integrity of game files, that it. This downloads your missing files, and replaces corrupted files, unless your game too far out of date, it may just redownload the game.

It didn't helped at all. I verified the game and still shows same errror.

If it didn't work, ensure that your anti virus is not quarantining your game files, as there can be false positive scans, which cause game not to work, as well ensure there no 3rd party software that messing with file, and permissions for read, and writes.

Now if there by chance a severe corrupted file problem, you have to remove said files if know which ones the problem, or have to redownload the game, before redownloading game, uninstall the game, head to where game folder would be installed at, and delete said game folder, so you made sure to rid of the problem files that causing the problem, then you can redownload game.

None of them are causing the problem and not the 3rd party softwares.

But the problem is, there aren't any corrupted files. Just a simple one file and Steam refuses to continue downloading the rest of the files. I'm sick of this stubborness and do full game's reinstall every ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ time! Even I deleted the game's file entirely. Again, same error but only a game file and an empty asset file.

Have you ask in the game forum to see if anyone can give you this file, that you're missing?

I am downloading it on my E disk HDD.
It shows that it's condition fine on CrystalDiskInfo, yet I don't have a single clue, why the hell does game refuses to continue download.

Is C drive SSD? Try installing on SSD just to see what happens.

Apperantly now it works, just because I had to move to my second HDD and it works well.

Either VALVe worked badly with the downloads or why it refuses to work on my E hdd.

So you installed it on C drive, then moved to E drive correct? It's possible that the package setup might not work if dev handle it wrong, or something causing issue to not correctly funtion the download process to E drive, but this is just my speculation.

No. I moved Payday 2's installation to my second HDD drive.
