Can Steam please finally fix HDR screenshots?

I mean, gamebar by microsoft has no problems at all....why can't Steam (the MAIN platform for pc gaming) get HDR screenshots right ??

there are threads even older than that I believe. I remember checking about steam compatibility and threads already last year. It is pretty ridiculous, I don't think it needs a lot of effort to implement HDR for screenshots (or, at least, do a good hdr-sdr convertion). I can survive with taking screenshots with the gamebar and then importing with steascree but most games support HDR now and would only make total sense for steam to sort it out. I'll copy this post there at your link and consider this thread done.

yeah no I understand thank you for the link, I just mean that despite the issue having been discussed over time (multiple threads, possibly starting already in 2020 I believe), they didn't bother to fix it....
