Can I somehow change the name I use to log in?

So basically I am transgender, My original username had "girl" in it. I am unable to use my current username for login, and it is extremely uncomfortable for me to be stuck referring to myself as a girl when I log into steam. So is there any way to either change it or to log in with my current username? :(

Edit: some ppl are being rude. I get it. I cant change it. No need to be rude telling me to "cope" or whatever for asking a question.

Usernames cannot be changed. Only profile names.

No. The answer doesn't change no matter how many times you rephrase the question.

Then just say "no, you can not log in with another name or email" instead of telling me to make a new account when I spent money on here. It just comes off rude honestly when all I did was ask a question

Unlike some other websites, you cannot use your email used in lieu of your username.

it was blunt, not rude. the only way you are going to be able to sign on with a new name is to make a new account

if you were to make another account, you could family share and still play your games from this one on that new account

making a seperate account and "family share" feels like a lot of way too complicated extra effort tbh. Sucks that I cannot change it or log in with email. Would be a lot better. But I am not going to over-complicate using steam :/

I can live with using the original name, I just wish I could have used another method of login (hence the post) its not like will die from it, its just really uncomfy at the end of the day

It's just a name, it could be anything in the world.
If it makes you unconfortable then thats too bad, as steam doesn't allow you to change account names, because they are your accounts unique identifier.
So unfortunetly you just have to cope with the current name your account has.

Its the name of your account, refer to the account with that name.
