Login Error Code: e84
I recently bought a pc and can't log in on it. No idea what it means or how to resolve it. I corrected my date and time, but that didn't do anything.

The app and website work on my mac, but that's almost like not having steam, so who cares.

Can you tell me if it actually works as a solution?

Ask steam support are they have issue with MAC login and PC, that could be the case, and ask own mac Group also, unless you are luck other multi system user know this better or why it happend.

MAC, MIcrosoft pc and Linux is not same thingy, and we also have ARM pc soon maybe depend on how it goes.

you simple ask for thing most here can't help you with.

just because i have a insight in this, with why, dont mean its that at all,
and if you notice alot of login issue atm, with change of ways it was worked before even that is possible.

I have the same issue on my other Steam account - can't login from the PC or the web and get the e84 error code when I try. So, I tried on a laptop (second computer) that hadn't been updated to the new sign-in UI and got in, but after updating Steam, I couldn't log in again with that account. I can use this account on both the PC and laptop. So it is kind of maddening.

Same here. "ERROR Something went wrong while attempting to sign you in. Please try again later." Then a "Back" button. Bottom of the screen says "Error Code: e84"

I managed to find a solution that worked for me:

Create a shortcut to steam.exe. Open the properties and, in the Target box, add this:
-noreactlogin
Your link must look something like:

"X:\...\Steam.exe" -noreactlogin

Save and try to open Steam through this link. It will load the old login screen and it let me in with it.

I ended up changing the password after removing the mobile authenticator on the account that could not login. After that it worked.

I struggled with this issue for a few hours. I reset the password to the account and it worked for me. (did not have to remove authenticator)

You need to put your first username on the username part, not your current one (thats the case for me atleast).

Thank you! It works. It brings the old login box back and then I can log in with no problem. The problem is definitely the new login box.
