Account Hijacked - Unable to contact STEAM support due to Capcha issues
I created this account i am writing this from, and had to buy a game to even write this!!!

My main (other) account has been hijacked, he changed data, and i cannot access it. Whenever i try to create a support ticket, i run into CAPCHA issues, even page reports that CAPCHA is OK. If i try resubmitting the form, i get a message that there only can be one ticket open per account. But i newer got a reciept, i newer heard from STEAM support.

Why is there no reciept that a support ticket has been created? Has it been created? Why dont i hear anything, STEAM claims that account tickets usually is solved within 20 hours?

Please STEAM, i have 50+ games on that account, i have been a STEAM'er since first release. so PLEASE fix you CAPCHA issues, so we can deal with this theft together

Account Recovery
Make sure you are completely logged out of Steam before you start the recovery process

you don't need access to the email, phone number or password currently tied to the hijacked account for this to work. Just pick the "I do not have access..." or a similar option when asked.

make sure to do all of these


DO NOT TRADE
many scams try and scare you into trading your items and they get hijacked

1. Scan for malware https://www.malwarebytes.com/

2. Deauthorize all other devices https://store.steampowered.com/twofactor/manage

3. Change passwords from a trusted/clean computer.

4. Generate new backup codes for your Mobile App https://store.steampowered.com/twofactor/manage

5. Revoke the API key https://steamcommunity.com/dev/apikey (there should be nothing in the APIKEY)

Second time you try submitting after error, you just get a "You cannot make another ticket". But how do i know if ticket is submitted despite the CAPCHA issue, i dident get a reciept? I dident get a response.

Thx for suggestion Lilim, it still refuses me to create another ticket using Edge (i usually use Chrome), even i never had a reciept for the first one, nor had a reply from support.

on the support page, at the botoom, you can see

"view my steam support requests"

is the ticket active?

Thanks again for replying. I cannot login, that is the whole issue, so no login in to see status either :-/
I had NO reply from steam in this matter, it has been 10 days now

I dont know why they dont take this more seriously, this is a dealbreaker, at least for me bying games in thsi platform, if basic support fails, due to a very simple technical glitch

The ticket is not supposed to be in the account that got stolen. That would not make sense. And would enable the hijacker to read your ticket.

you need to be logged out of steam and on a secure device to start.

make sure to follow the guide from the start. lock the account and then slowly go through and read the guide.

at every step there is something along the lines of

"i no longer have access to..."

and then gives an option. eventually you will get to support and they will walk you through what they need to give you back your account
