Download speed when playing games.

Hi, is there anyway for me to get my download speed to 12mbps? I only get 1 mbps when playing.

Here's a screenshot of my download speed and speed test when I'm playing games(this time I'm playing CP 2077)

and when I'm not playing games on steam but watching videos on youtube or anything.

and the only settings I have on my steam is "allow downloads during gameplay"

need your help please. I don't have any issues on other game clients or browsers

Speedtest shows there is a massive problem with your downstream. So, likely a problem with your ISP, not Steam.
In both speedtests the download was really low.
Only in one of them you had a decent upload speed.

Clearly there is something going on with your internet connection, not with Steam.

it always happen when I'm playing the download speed locks to 1mbps and when I'm not playing my download speed is 12mbps

Strange, Steam it doesn't limit your download rate, it doesn't interfere with anything in your game, it must be some missing configuration!

In Steam you go to settings and in the download tab see if everything is normal in the default!

Uhh..... Yeah seem like you have a real download problem from seeing both download, and speed test. Are you downloading, and doing speed test same time???

- If yes are that not how you do speed test, as you need to do speed test when not using your bandwidth such as downloading, or steaming anything in background, or else you get bad results.

- If no then need to check your cable, or if doing wifi, check your drivers, because that really bad, as you're getting 12MB! vs 12Mb! <--- lower case b = bits upper case b = Byte. 1 Byte = 8 bits.

forget about the speedtest. my problem is whenever I play something my download speed is on 1MB/s but when I'm not playing or just surfing the net I get the 12MB/s

it seems like you don't understand me. I'm telling you, I'm only having this problem when I'm playing a game on steam.

I did this speed test without using steam.
again. I only getting this problem when playing games.

It is actually important, because if speed test saying something wrong, it means something very wrong if for some reason other apps are not having the issue there a 12 times gap problem. The only thing I can think of, is either server you pick is bad, something wrong in your area, you doing something that cause that speed test to give bad results, or something just wrong with your ISP, that what this tells me.

Now another issue is if you're having a hardware throttling, that means either your storage drive hitting high usage while you play games, your CPU hitting 100%, cpu overheating, or you max your RAM usage, which you can experience freezing, or stuttering problems. Lag, or rubberbanding is something releated to bad connection, or interference.

So I can't see what exactly happening on your end, as this is a forum, I'm only going by info you're providing, and giving you info that can point to what your issue could be to narrow things down.

Then this points to something wrong on your system, either you're hitting a hardware throttling issues, driver issues for your internet connection, or your wifi having problems if using wifi.
