Running out of Steam Cloud Storage Space

I have had my Steam account for over 18 years and as a result have many old saves that could be deleted in Steam Cloud. I understand that each game have an allocated amount of space for cloud data. The titles that I have owned the longest are the ones with less than 2MB space left or similar file bloating. The titles do not have the option to manage saves through deletion and I have had issues with titles not launching correctly as the configuration file was botched up by mistake. I have visited my Steam Cloud at https://store.steampowered.com/account/remotestorage
Unfortunately I can only download files rather than manage them and view title space remaining. I have tried to locate the files on my hard drive and some files are old enough to have not been created or loaded on my current computer.

How can I clean up my Steam Cloud files to reflect my needs of today rather than 8 or so years ago?

Great question! Half-Life would be an excellent example of a title that has been around for a long time and only allows loading saves in-game.

And what is the problem? Not sure i can see it.

If you want to get rid of cloud saves, you need to start a game without cloud and delete saves.
And next start you enable cloud and choose upload local files.

But only if you want to lose all cloud saves.

I am looking for a solution that also allows me to remove steam cloud saves for titles no longer in my library. Plus I may want to retain the more recent saves and rid myself of the 8+ years old data only.

Each game has its own cloud storage limit. This limit is set by the game developers.

Removing saves from one game does not give you more cloud save space in any other game.

I would like to also cleanup old save games. It's quite a surprise that I can download the save games from the webpage but cannot delete them.
I don't want to install like hunders of gigabytes of games just to clean up old save games.
