Drivers and those big semiannual Windows updates are often the most likely cause for this. So indeed check whether something updated in the recent time.
If you have both a dedicated GPU and integrated graphics, check whether the games that run through Steam actually use the dedicated one.
I had this issue yesterday, updated my gpu drivers, steam no longer freezed when launching a game. Woke up this morning and it happened again for some reason....
Ive checked my graphics card and recently had an update to windows 11. All were fine, it might be hardware since sometimes certain keys on my laptop dont work but will work later on, so it could be my hardware. If it is my hardware, any idea what it could be?
