How can I buy a game I am currently playing for "free" as part of EA Play

I want to buy the whole bundle of a game I'm playing on here. However, it won't let me buy the base game (the one that is playable with EAPLAY) because it shows it already being in my library. How would I go about getting it not to show so that i can buy it and dl it? I know I can permanently remove it from library but will I lose all my saved info that way? Can anyone advise if this is the correct way or if there is something else I should do instead? Thanks so much!
