Can't create account because of Captcha glitch

Man, this is absolutely disgusting... My friend doesn't have Steam account and he asked me to help him to create it. So, we're trying to create, but captcha is clearly glitched. I tried listening, but it doesn't work either, I get this message:

'Your computer or network may be sending automated queries. To protect our users, we can't process your request right now. For more details visit our help page."

Then, I tried from my mobile phone browser and at least I can listen to words, but even if I put it correctly, it still gives me error. Basically we're unable to register on Steam. This needs to be fixed. It's atrocious and painful to register...

I am having the same problem. Trying to set my wife an account up and we cannot get past Captcha... tried on different devices, different internet, this is annoying. Cant seem to find a way to submit a ticket for this problem either.

I tried. I tried Chrome, Vivaldi, then Firefox, since Firefox uses its own engine. Didn't work. I even downloaded Steam software in this PC, but still same. I even tried in my phone with WIFI, without WIFI and 4G mobile Internet, still nothing, still same problem with captcha.

It's very frustrating. I'm helping my friend to build his new PC and he wants to have Steam account and buy some games, so we can play together, but how the heck we can play together if he can't register?

Complain to steam account manager, most company get faster service with lost sale or things that prevent access. what private company dont do that, with respect for themself.

many forget today we all work for sale department, i have never seen they lost a case then it about more sale, only impossible ideas can stop this until solved another way, if cost is in check.

dont forget this is a user forum,and im not support, make steam ticket and im sure account or sales person/department wont like things not working.

Tried this with the steam client, Opera and Firefox. All have the same issue and I'll be a monkey's uncle before I use Edge.

This tell alot about you, there is only support that can look at it. and sale department dont like things not working.

"Can't create account" that is account manager, you have not even bought a thingy yet. noone else might fight for you , and all can technicaly say fix your pc or browser and change it.

this just show actual how little you know in who is on your side here. ( account and sale department )

test with other spare pc this ruleout out own pc issue, gl with it.

This is stupid! Just built a PC for co-worker and we can't create an account for him. I have tried EVERYTHING and none of it works. I have tried 4 different devices, several browsers, turned off ipv6, flushed DNS, changed networks, tried the client...E V E R Y T H I N G! He has a lot of money to spend and will simply take it to GoG or Epic. Someone really needs to fix this. I cannot find a way to send a ticket or direct message anyone in support. The "Support Wizard" does not have a suggestion for this issue. Just bought a Steam Deck and will probably sell it as I had no idea Steam Support was practically non existent. I have been a member for almost 2 decades and this enough to make me stop buying from Steam.

Do not missuse this link that dont seem to fit Subject outside this post with contact steam support. with odd way off subject that as above user try to explan, i dont work for steam, but im sure we have all seen then something dont addup with Captcha glitch, and many ask themself is this what is best solution stop think its only steam, i have seen rockstar picture selection been equal bad sometimes and repeat itself over and over and over.

It's barely 6 AM in Seattle, so they probably haven't even gotten around to looking into this. My guess, is they either didn't pay Google the reCAPTCHA bill, their key expired, or someone compromised the server and as an automatic failsafe, Valve shut the API server down.

Everything is fine on the server side. This happens and the issue is always solved from the user side by either switching browsers, closing all background processes - especially VPNs or just using your phone.

Trust me, if it was a server-wide issue, the forums would be flooded in seconds.

Support will reply, but there are some very long queues right now.

Its not that i Dont agree with Bee, but afaik no sale department employee is happy then customer cant even make account and maybe even buy something, thats why i think they should know this. because they can talk with other department here and ask what is going on here. and why do they have issue with such a so called simple task to make a account.
i pretty sure they dont care what top 3 Browser it is , they should work.

WTF are you talking about? My post is directly related to the OPs issue as I am also having the same issue and I am acting on my friends behalf. Also, most of what you are saying does not make any sense. I understand you are trying to help. Are you using a text translator?
