Content server unreachable or no internet connection

I cannot figure out what is causing this issue or what a fix might be. I've tried everything in the help section including changing region, clearing download cache, uninstalling the app, changing the install location to a different drive, disabling my antivirus, disabling my firewall, my computer had internet access. I am on windows 7 64bit if that helps. Any suggestions would be very helpful. I'm to the point of wiping my PC and hoping that helps somehow. It'd be really nice if Steam actually had some kind of customer support for these kinds of issues.

Set your DNS to 1.1.1.1. See if that helps.

Set it to 1.1.1.1 on the computer or on the router itself, I'll give it a try on both I guess

Doesn't matter. As long as your DNS queries get resolved there, the result is the same.

I'm having the same trouble too! My friend who comes over to my place sometimes doesn't have the same trouble, even though we're using the same internet. I think it may be a problem with Steam.

I changed my DNS to 1.1.1.1 and 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 and doesn't seem to have changed anything. My computer has internet and everything is working fine, not sure why I can go on Steam, look up games, buy game but then not download them. When I try to install a game, it returns an error message saying "No internet connection" which is BS cause I've got a strong wired internet connection with no conflicting IP issues. I'm at a loss on what could be causing this.

This is really bizarre, I can install some games like Metro: Last Light Redux and Assassin's Creed Origins but not Rise of the Tomb Raider or Bioshock Infinite or Wolfenstein. The ones not installing say there's no internet connection. I'm literally downloading Assassin's Creed right now as I'm getting a no internet connection error for a different game, this is idiotic.
