Steam Only Works If I Set My Computer Back To A Restore Point HELP!

I have to keep setting my PC back to a restore point every time I want to open Steam. And after I do I can only launch steam one time before I have to set it back to the restore point again. This is very frustrating and idk what to do.

Your installation of steam is most likely broken. Consider reinstalling; before doing so , back up your data within the client:

• Steam
  
• Backup and Restore Games
  
• Backup currently installed programs

Then install steam again, and do a complete clean install, and see if it functions, then restore your games through the same menu.

Two explanations.

1) Recent program interfering with Steam.

2) A borked installation

Thanks Guys! I figured it out. It was because AVG put the programs in sleep mode and wouldnt allow Steam to wake up. so I woke it up manually and now it works! Thanks for all the Comments and advice!

Some AV software just love screwing with Steam.
