Gem Maker badge not a thing anymore? (OFFICIAL: NO LONGER OBTAINABLE)

I recently broke down some game emotes, expecting the badge for creating gems would be added to my profile, but it didn't drop. Did Steam discontinue this badge, or is it bugged?

Same here, I was looking for what badges were and tried to get this one... But no gem maker badge after crafting some.

They should make getting booster packs, especially foil card's easier. If a game isn't on Steam anymore, you only can trade cards, most the time people just straight trying to scam you. Getting cards easier without using lot of gems would be nice.

I don't think so, they probably did it to shut down easy experience points

I haven't actually seen a reputable source for it having been discontinued. Just one person attributing a typed out sentence to Steam.

why don't you ask steam support yourself, if you know that much

That's weird... The badge was only 100XP - not that much, and worked as a start to collecting badges.
Also "it was meant to be available only for a limited time"... from 2014 Holiday Sale? 8 years limited time and they suddenly remove it.
