Of the 1636 games I have installed, all 12 TB of them, I have not come across a single virus from any of them.

It's not Steam where you got your viruses from. The viruses might have spread to your game folders, but the source is something else.

What Operating System are you using?

One that isn't riddled with viruses obviously. Clean your PC or ensure you are not getting false positives from any AV you are using. There are no viruses in Steam games.

If you're trying to argue these viruses only affect Windows 11 through Steam there are plenty of people running it on Win 11 and they aren't having issues.

There are no conflicts. Unless you are using a trash anti-virus that thinks established gaming platforms are malicious or your PC is riddled, there should be no issues whatsoever.

It's impossible to say what sort of mess you and/or your PC is in. You may have a PC bloated with viruses that spreads upon new architecture creations or the AV may kick-in when a new download is triggered for existing harmful material.

Clean PC + Good AV = flawless experience.

Do a fresh and clean reistall of your OS, delete all drives and partitions.

I would never use recoveries or upgrade from 21H2 to 22H2 for example.

I guess, even if your recovery might be clean, this "virus" jumps over from a different drive and/or partition..

I would never .........upgrade from 21H2 to 22H2 for example.

With win 10 you can safely upgrade. If your computer is safe.
