All categories in library gone - but still present when creating categories

Hello ladies and gentlemen,

the steam support couldn't help me out with this, maybe you folks have a fix for this.

Issue: all my own created steam categories in the library are gone.
I just wanted to start to create them again but after I've chosen the first game to categorize, it shows me in the dropdown menu where you can add or create a new category, that my old ones are still there! And the games that were matched to categories are still in the same category (the title of the category has a darker font).

Stil the issue is that the categories don't show up in the filters on the left side anymore. Basically, I have all games in one filter called "all". Only after I want to add them with the right click and add to category I see my the titles of my old category list.

Is there a known fix for this issue?

It seems like "Group by Collection" is not ticked under Games in the left hand panel.

Click on games above the list and make sure the group by collection box is checked
