Randomly bringing me to Desktop

Whenever I play a game on steam, every two minutes or so it will bring me to my desktop without warning. I don't know what the issue is, I've tried a few things that didn't help. It's really obnoxious, because I'm doing well in a game and then out of the blue I get sent to my desktop, have to open the game from the taskbar (it doesn't close, it just as if I press the windows button), and within the five seconds I'm dead. I was wondering if anyone knew why this is, and if there's a solution for it? Thanks!

maybe you alt tabbed. Sometimes when a program starts it will bring you back

It's not alt + tab, it randomly happens even if I don't touch my keyboard. Every two minutes.

Happens to me too...
But it happens to me only when I'm playing L4D2, not anymore when i'm playing CSGO

I had the same issue. Uninstalled Avast and it fixed the problem.

I play crossout and fallout 4 and I'll be playing and outta no where its like I minimized my game, I'm not accidentally hitting any keys on the keyboard since I'm using a controller, no apps pop up when this happens so its not like it's trying to switch to something else I would say it happens often but more on occasion.

And I have not downloaded anything to my computer other than steam and the games from steam I do not get on the internet at all with it other than to play steam games it is purely dedicated to steam
