2. Steam Community Bans
The Steam Community is a union of all Steam users.
You can find new people with the help of the Steam Community, whom you can befriend, chat with in groups, share screenshots, read news and watch broadcasts. Users who violate the Community Rules and Guidelines will receive bans according to their actions.
So I think they were trying to say that a steam community ban effects all aspects of {LINK USUNIĘTY}steamcommunity.com but has 0 effects on {LINK USUNIĘTY}steampowered.com ? Cuz by its name that would make sense
...also why did i get "Extreme gore/nudity" warning when viewing this guide XD
he sort of wants to buy current hot sale games lol
also to be fair the reason why he was banned is 100% unfair, a guy was trying to buy a game "Portal Knights" and he was trying to help him buy it, but the guy was unsure since the game had an early access exclusive dlc and didnt want to miss out on the game so my friend convinced him the DLC is just a cosmetic island and 0 value to the game and told him to "Download a free demo or free gog version if you know what I mean" so he test it and then buy the game, my friend owns the game, he hates piracy, he doesn't support it at all and has over 1250+ games on steam that he bought, he was just trying to help the guy understand how good the game is in order to buy it "Which seemed to work since he ended up buying it " But then admin gave him perma community ban on that forum and 2 weeks ban
meanwhile I am seeing a lot of people claiming they'll pirate a game or already did and advocate for that low act and none of them gets banned, it really feels very excessive to give him a 2 weeks community ban for that knowing that 1 year ago he received one 24 community ban for trading insults with some salty dota player and that ban was justified though, but shouldn't it go 24 hours and then 1 week ? not 24 hours and instantly for 2 even though its full 1 year difference ....
obviously im not gonna try to get him unbanned or argue about it here cuz I know it wont work, he even contacted steam support and they said the ban was justified but I still think its bs
