NBA 2k19 does not start
Yo

so I preordered NBA 2k19 and I wanted to start it but when I try to start it only a text box saying "Starting NBA 2k19.." pops up for half a second and vanishes and nothing else happens, not even an error message. It says I´m Ingame for like 10 seconds when I try to start it and then it says "synchronising" and then nothing else happens. I don´t have the best PC but it fits the minimum system requirements and I can run GTA 5 on ok-graphics on it and also played 2K18 on it so idk what to do. I already installed the latest drivers and verified the game cache where steam found 5 damaged things in the cache idk and i had to download 18,6GB again but the result when starting the game was the same..The last thing I could imagine that could help is to reinstall the game but it´s almost 70GB and yeah I want to hear your eventual solutions first...

My specs:

AMD Radeon HD 6800 series
AMD Phenom II x6 1055T processor, 2800mHz
BIOS-Version American Megatrends Inc. P1.60, 14.09.2010
8GB RAM
Windows 10 64 bit

Maybe it´s important to mention that my pc crashed during the download but idk i downloaded 18 GB again after verifiing the game cache

I hope someone can help me I was so hyped for the game

I'm having the same problem. I already uninstalled and reinstalled the game and the problem is still there. I opened a ticket with 2k support but who knows when they'll respond.

Can I run it if I use the AMD FX-8350?
Cathulhu Sep 10, 2018 @ 9:34am
The AMD FX 8350 does support SSE 4.1 and 4.2

Well I pre-ordered the 20th anniversary edition and it doesn't download either tech support said I would have to wait till Tuesday like everyone else.

Preordered games will not be able to be played until the release date. The release date for NBA 2K19 20th Anniversary is on September 11th, 2018.

We apologize about any confusion regarding this matter.

To confirm that you successfully purchased the game, you can see your recent Steam Store Transactions by logging in to the Steam Store, or the Steam application, and then selecting your username at the top right of the page or the client window.

Well idk I was able to download it but as said it does not start. When did you purchase it? Maybe if you have bought it after the 7th of September you have to wait along with all others who "only" bought the normal version.

Is this true? I will definitely not upgrade my cpu for this, I'm not a big gamer anymore, I just wanted to ball a little.. I have amd phenom ii x6 1075t, does this mean i wont be able to play this game? I already have it btw and i have the same problem. I could run 2k18 just fine..

Yep unfortunately...I upgraded my phenom II x6 to a fx 8350 which supports SSE4.2 and now it runs perfectly fine...
