Newly bought DLCs doesn't install automatically
Hello.

I just bought three DLCs from the Stellaris franchise but they won't install automaticcaly. Is there a way to force the install to happen?

There was a sort of error message with failed install on the first one, but I didn't think much of it and thought the other DLCs would start installing instead.

Any help is appreciated :)

Go to the library, select your game and find the DLC section. Check the checkboxes and wait.

That's what I'm doing already. There is a sale on Paradox titles now. Could the delay be caused by a surge in purchases?

Restart steam and reverify the game data

How do you know it’s not installing

Change your download region

I already restarted steam, but how do I reverify game data?

There is no progress bar? Every game I've ever bought, the game started installing right away.

Some games have a lot of their DLC baked into the original download and are just unlocked via the licenses.

Note for Stellaris you will see what DLC you've installed from the launcher and going to the "DLC" tab

1) launch game
2) wait for launcher to appear
3) click DLC tab
4) expand "Content" and "Expansion" pulldowns

If they show up here, they're installed

How do I do that?

Problem is solved now :) I reverified the game files and the files appeared to be okay. I launched the game but the DLCs still weren't installed. I then went to the library and unchecked then rechecked the DLCs and they appeared installed instantly so like one of you suggested it might have been in the registry.

Thank you both :)

Usually for me it works by unchecking and again checking the DLC in the library page.
