Steam prevents hibernation/sleep Linux
Hi, I've run Solus OS (a linux distro) for a year or so and it went to sleep/hibernation according to schedule (after 1 hr idle) fine for about six months. Since then something happened and now whenever Steam is running the OS sleep schedule doesn't trigger - the display doesn't go into standby and the machine doesn't sleep and no notification about auto-sleep being triggered appears under the OS notifications.

What can I do to troubleshoot?

I'm in the same boat... I know your post is ages old, but did you ever find a solution.
I'm on Debian 12.5 Stable, with KDE desktop environment, wayland (if that matters).

I just fixed my issue! All I had to do was disable "Enable GPU accelerated rendering in web views (requires restart" in the Steam settings under 'Interface'. :steamhappy:

Never mind.... Steam is still preventing sleep and screen locking.

This thread was quite old before the recent post, so we're locking it to prevent confusion.
