DirectX Runtime issue

So, I just updated to Windows 11. DirectX 12 is already installed, but when I try to start the game Stray, I get a message telling me that I need to install DirectX Runtime. I've verified that it's installed and working properly. What is the problem here?

I know, it's old. That's why I was kind of wondering why I was having this issue in the first place.

Is it a message when starting the game or a DirectX install during first start? The latter is normal when installing optional components. An error could indicate your OS is trying to use the wrong graphics controller to run the game, in which case you must add the game to Graphics Settings in Windows and select your graphics card.

To make sure you aren't missing any optional runtimes (though generally games shouldn't be depending on these legacy files) try this:

As for the comment warning, Steam tends to be a bit grumpy sometimes and it takes a bit of time for comments to be scanned.

The message is triggered when I try to start the game. The on-board graphics have been disabled, so the only controller choice the machine has is the AMD.
