Motherboard help
I posted in hardware and operating systems how i messed up my board but knowbody responded. My system: Evga X58 sli 3 Classified (141-BL-E760) ( Rev 1.1) messed up by overvolting the Ram to 1.65v . The board had an FF post then went to a blank ( no number) post upon trying to fix it.
So i inturn go another board Evga X58 sli 3 Classified (141-BL-E759) ( Rev 1.0) i had put a Xeon x5675 in the 760 and it run great until i messed with the Ram.
So i put it the Xeon into the 759 got a FF post, i know the board works I put a i7 920 in first. Come to find out only later versions( Revs) of this board supports Xeons. I managed to get the 760 to a 62 post code which i belive means i need to do a bios flash. And the 759 i read needs to have a peice on the motherboard sodered ( i dont want to do this). here is link to a evga form for the bios patch

https://forums.evga.com/Unofficial-Spectre-Patched-BIOS-for-EVGA-X58-Motherboards-m2838898-p2.aspx

its talking about a patch or bios update to fix this problem.
Im just not sure if i should just flash the 759 with this or the 760 or neither.
Also should i try to flash the 760 with a normal bios.
not really sure what i should do.
any help would be great!
