The weakest link in any security system will always be between the keyboard and chair.
Valve can only provide so much security. The only thing that needs to be “fixed” is peoples’ stupidity.
Valve put so many locks and safety measures in place but people still give away their log-in information, passwords, and Steam Guard codes. If you give a copy of the keys your house to criminals, are you going to blame the police when you are burgled?
Valve doesn’t allow these bots to hijack accounts. Users do.
Education and common sense are the best protection.
No "hacking" involved
It's called phishing and requires the owner of the account to give away information they shouldn't.
