Steam Guard asking me to verify on every login on the same system
Hey,

So basicly my problem is, that my Mobile Steam Guard Authenticator asks me to verify my login every single time i login, even though I'm on the same PC.

Mainly I encounter this Problem, becaue I got myself a second Counter Strike account to play with friends and whenever I switch to that account and then switch back to my main acc, I have to enter the validation code again. Is there a way for the Steam Guard to save my PC as validated and not ask me on every acc switch? I don't have a huge problem with it, its just a medicore annoyance and I'm trying to find out if there is a fix for this or if i just have to live with this. Do people with second steam accounts just enter the code every single time?

Obviously, when I save the Login for my main and dont switch acc's, it's saved and not asking for the Mobile code every time, but it does, whenever im logging out to switch accounts.

I did find the FAQ about this, stating its a problem with web cookies, however I understand this as a solution to the login on the steam website, not the "Steam for Windows" application.

Thanks for anyone willing and trying to help

No, that is the purpose of it. Despite if it's the same pc or not.

Hm, I get where you are comming from but is it really? On Google accounts or on Twitter for example, they just check in with you via Email, whenever a system loggs in that has previously not have a validated login.

I have multiple Blizzard Accounts too for example and a Blizzard Mobile Authenticator. They only ask you for a validation code once, if you are on a new system. After that, you can log in and out without the need to enter it again

Hello,

I have exactly the same "problem".
I switch between 2 accounts on the same PC.
On my second account I had to enter the code only once, but on my main account I always have to enter the code.
I have tested this with 2 friends. They have logged into my second account. I only had to give them the code once and now they can always log in without the code.
As soon as they log back into their account they don't have to enter a code either.
They both use the Mobile Authentificator.
Why do I always have to enter the code and they don't?
