Is there "Grab it now free forever" groups?

So Quake just turned free for the weekend, and if you install it you can keep it forever.
So i'm left wondering, if there is groups in steam keeping such things in check?
Announcing/shoutoutning everytime a game goes free???

There, you can check when free games are available.

In additon to that, free games are displayed on the Steam News page.
