It's like older style houses vs modern ♥♥♥♥.. one has many different features, and designs... and modern homes, even the "fancy/higher market" ones are all white cubes... it's just ugly and very impersonal to me.
With the massive amount of money valve makes, you would think they would have a client that doesnt ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ suck. The store design and layout is pathetic by current standards (♥♥♥♥ sorting options, no tabs, lists reset when you go back and forth, blah blah etc.) But hell, you would think we would at least get to choose what color/font the client interface is :(
I have never used a custom skin for steam before. Is it stable/runs properly etc? I recall reading before that there were sometimes problems with custom skins...then again, i cant read this interface for ♥♥♥♥ anyway...
To my knowledge the only time noticable issues come up for skins is when updates change things (breaking the skins). I just installed this skin a few hours ago, and haven't noticed any major issues (though be warned the chat windows background seems unable to fully go back to the old style).
