PS4 controller and USB issues
So, I have my ps4 controller hooked up, playing any game (steam or not) and sometimes it'll disconnect itself. Not an issue, seeing as how it's console hardware, no, the issue is, when the controller stops responding, ALL of my USB ports (front and back) like, reset or something... idk how to explain it. Keyboard, Mouse, My external HDD, all of my usb devices stop for a split second. In the case of my external USB, it's long enough that it stops reading and closes steam and whatever game I have playing from it, Unless its a game on my system drive, NOT on steam. In the cases of games on my system drive and steam, it crashes too, but thats cause steam stopped suddenly... anywho, I'm sure this isn't a steam specific issue, I'm leaning more towards possibly hardware issue, shouldn't be though, it's a 3 month old build. Anyone have any ideas?

Your motherboarda USB controller looks to be faulty. See if you have warranty.

I do, but I really don't wanna be PCless that long XD. Besideds, it'd be the second time I had to replace the mobo.

What was the first time?
Plug a hub betwen the gamepad and the PC. See if that helps.

His Mobo should be fine.

It was after a Steam change, i have this problem now on two PC's who use Steam Link.

Both Systems worked fine until both keeps disconnecting, connecting between my PS4 controller. Sometimes you can play fine for several minutes, sometimes it happens earlier or later, and i have to stop the game, then the stream and it works fine again.

Sometimes it discinnects but imediatly connects and it works.

All symptoms happen on both PC systems, who have their own room with steam link and a TV in the living room.
If i plug the controller right into the PC it happens the same.

Known fact is by me, they changed something inside of the steam driver at the xinput. Last steam update mentioned they fixed it. But as far i guess, we can only hope for a fix that makes it work smooth again as it did the months before.

so... update on this situation for anyone who is still watching it... I got my board back last week, and now there are issues with or without a controller, random crashes on everyhing, even stuff that isnt gaming related or resource intensive, and the BSOD's are a lot more frequent... Hell, the whole OS even freezes from time to time now. MSI says they fixed the issues, and they wont let me RMA it again, but its a hell of a lot worse now than it was. I mean, it was annoying at the beginning, sure, but, now its bordrline unusable with all the new issues. Still accepting ideas for fixes.
