Plug a hub betwen the gamepad and the PC. See if that helps.
It was after a Steam change, i have this problem now on two PC's who use Steam Link.
Both Systems worked fine until both keeps disconnecting, connecting between my PS4 controller. Sometimes you can play fine for several minutes, sometimes it happens earlier or later, and i have to stop the game, then the stream and it works fine again.
Sometimes it discinnects but imediatly connects and it works.
All symptoms happen on both PC systems, who have their own room with steam link and a TV in the living room.
If i plug the controller right into the PC it happens the same.
Known fact is by me, they changed something inside of the steam driver at the xinput. Last steam update mentioned they fixed it. But as far i guess, we can only hope for a fix that makes it work smooth again as it did the months before.
