Steam Cloud: Sync cfg files for CS:GO
Hi, folks!
Is there any guides how to sync config.cfg (or any *.cfg) and video.txt in the steam cloud?
I tried to find something useful, but I did not find any working instructions.
What i did:
1. Steam -> Settings -> Cloud -> Enable Steam Cloud sync ...
2. Library -> CS:GO -> Properties -> Keep games saves in the Steam Cloud ...
3. Place *.cfg and video.txt in the .../730/remote/cfg/
4. Trying to use cl_cloud_settings "1" (Steam Console), placed in to the CS:GO Properties (doesn't work)
5. Checked log files (...\Steam\logs\cloud_log.txt):

As i see, synched only a csgo_saved_item_shuffles.txt file.
So Steam Cloud doesn't see my cfg/txt files and there's need some proper way to add them.

What i'm trying to do:
I want use a Steam Cloud to sync cfg files when i'm in the new place.
I just want to log in into Steam Account and load a game and all settings pulled up through the cloud.
Please do not write about third-party download methods (other clouds, flash drives, etc.)
Maybe if we find a solution this thread will be useful not only for me.

SteamCloud isn't dropbox, it may not be possible to save arbitrary user files files you want to save.

I'm not sure what the specific limitations are or how much you can manually manipulate SteamCloud, and I'm not saying you've exhausted all your options yet. But you should be prepared for the possibility that you can't do what you're trying to do even if it feels like it could or should be possible.

At any rate if something is difficult to do and requires a lot of hoop jumping to accomplish that tells you things, like it's probably not intended or supported. Which brings the risk of even if it works today, a patch tomorrow may break or remove it. Which to mind my makes some other less forced option a better choice.

Sometimes when you're the only one who wants to do something, it's not necessarily that your needs or wants are so special or unique. Sometime it just means your thinking about it the wrong way. At least keep the option open.
