rest is seen as clear download cache and then validate game intergrity of files, or as store page for that product and add missing content again.
also do own licence and history to make sure you are on right account and ofc have paid for it.
more thinking on family view mixup or on wrong account.
and good old system check disk is left ( chkdsk ) if needed.
ppl with lesser free space left seem to cause this to themself, why i wrote it like that is becuase its not steam job to make sure you have enough or what disk you bought.
i can revese this, no one seem to complain over new empty disk, you need faulth disk/cable or controller or drver for that to happend, thats actaul a good logic point , if DL size multiplyed by 5 is not there you could have not enough free space, many forget collections and DLC'S and extra or patch,
point is even fallout 4 say apox 33gb as i recall, but with all dlc'c thats actual 93gb, and we still dont count mods and save games in top of this +10% more free space and or 200gb ona 2TB disk as free space after that.
you can find 1000 of such post, and with in few years anything lesser then half or 1TB free space, will be user own problem, with next gen games that past 100GB+ plenty of them now, depend on what games we are talking about.
think i did already see a game use 1TB with mods and so steam user need to wanke up if this is another case of lack of free space and why steam crash and remove content for corruption of files in steam lib.
atm i will say anything lesser then 200gb now and game get a full game install patch, thats not possible if game is 100gb+
All the installed games are fine, and I have 400gb free on my SSD after that.
It's the games that aren't installed that are the issue. I own dawn of war for example
And have for years.
But I don't see it in my library as an option.
But in store I can search for it and install it form there.
as i said you can find alot of post with this. still not steam job to maker sure you have enough free work space for windows system and games that need it.
hence why most experience user dont get that problem, anything lesser then 500gb or 1 TB will soone be seen as user own problem, not because i said so, the newest games is even bigger then tiny disk from 10 years ago most will not by 500gb SSD disk anymore unless its for system only, and every steam user seem to forget that part, talk with a technician he will slamdonk this asap, a 250gb SSD or lesser will be seen as even worse,
did ppl forget the big fat game slave disk here. ? there is your TB disk with all game install on that drive.
True
Maybe I just didnt notice steam crashing(or it happened a while ago and I just didn't notice the library being borked untill now)
I genuinely don't have any idea how storage has anything to do with this.
If I was talking about installed games I would understand.
But steam with all the games DLC's and everthing(checked on steam and using FileTree)
Uses less than 150gb right now.
I have more than three time that free on my main Hardrive right now.
My issue is the library list of games that are NOT installed are incompete.
As it's just a list of games I own on steam, which works fine on Profile. But on my library(not my installed games, just my library) doesn't.
I'll probably just reset steam and the cache it has. Should work, was just a weird issue I thought someone else might have had. But most people it's either installed games, filter, family account or just wrong account issues.
steam settings, storage managerment controll how multidisk with steam lib work. and whats there or not ( external disk user learn this faster for missing content )
#:\SteamLibrary ( thats the new steam default for multi lib and why i crashed wayback )
i just move all to that new folder location and start steam up and game was back.
if thats the case say so, i just forgot about it, as just like you though it was only me that lost system rights back then and new loction was made. ( with add multi lib again )
