no reply button for profile comment?

hi everyone, my friend left a message on it, I want to send a "thank u", there's only delete button on that message

There is no way, to reply to a specific comment (just like here in the forum, you can only write an answer to a thread, but not to a posting). However, the last, I think, 5 commenters will be notified, when you as the profile owner write a comment. And of course, if the profile of your friend is not private, you can respond there too.

i thought it works the same way liek in the forum, you can click "subscribe" and you get notifications and if you dont click it you dont get them, is that wrong?

If you subscribe, you are notified about every answer, that is posted on a profile. However like I said, even unsubscribed users are notified, if the profile owner answers shortly after their posting.
