Workaround to Certain Games Input Detection on Remote Play
I'm trying to find a way to get around an issue I'm having with certain games (specifically Arcana Heart Lovemax Sixstars EX, however this would foreseeably be an issue on a lot of older games) on remote play.

As is common with a lot of Games, AH only recognizes controllers that it can see when it launches. If your controller is connected when the game opens up, it will work normally. If it isn't connected and you connect it after it starts running, it won't recognize the input. Compare this to games like Skullgirls, which will actively detect new controllers.

The issue is in Remote Play. The game supports it, and I can make lobbies just fine, but the issue is that no Remote Play inputs can get recognized because remote play can only be initiated after the game launches; none of the newly connected inputs will work. Arcana Heart, at least, has no way to manually search for input, so my Remote Player can't play.

Is there any workaround for this issue? I've been mucking around in my controller config, but that hasn't had an effect. Any launch option wizardry?

(I am running on Windows 10, using Xbox One controllers connected via a dongle, and my Remote Player is on Win 10 w/ an Xbox One controller connected via bluetooth. We can play other games normally with no issues).

The first time comes to mind is is having spare controller, or emulate a controller to trick the game, and unplug when start remote play, but that just an idea that comes to mind.

Maybe that can help in solving your issue best of luck.

I tried this (I have a spare XB1 controller), but it didn't work. The game doesn't recognize input from the Remote Player as being from the second connected controller.

If I remember unless that got removed again, it possible to swap controller player order in remote play for, so give it a shot, have both controllers plug in, and when remote play, make that person first, or 2nd controller player, without unplugging the 2nd controller, and see what happen, and see if can use either controller to be first, or 2nd player.

Another app I used to do remote play is parsac, maybe have better luck with it.
