Gift VS steam keys region locks question

I did a giveaway about 2/3 years, nothing big, just supporting a game I liked. I did it using steam gifting. I had problems with region price making some gift don't work and made the whole thing a pain. I told myself, next time, I'll get keys straight from the devs and gift them that way... but a search I just did right now show some steam keys are region locks so the question here:

If I acquire X keys from the dev for the purpose of gifting do I need to concern myself with region problem? (And is getting keys from the dev even still a thing?)

Edit: For reference you can find the giveaway here. The idea is to support a dev, not dodge restrictions, which are a complete puzzle to me.

Asking how to bypass region lock on Steam is really non bueno.

Ask the developer ab out keys.

A region is a region lock, doesn't matter if it's a Steam key or Steam gift. As stated, trying to bypass region locks will get your account is serious trouble.

Nothing to ignore....the keys do not come from the devs anyway. The devs have to get them from Valve.

IF a game is region locked, that region lock will still be in place when getting keys from Valve.

Steam doesn't region lock the keys, the developers do.

If you get keys from the developer they'll be whichever keys the developer decides to give you.

Developers give away keys all the time for promotion.

If Steam made the keys, they'd never run out (which happens quite often to Steam).

The OP is not trying to bypass restrictions, they are trying to avoid problems caused by restrictions.

Making false accusations against people is rampant on this forum.

One more time,, keys don't just magically appear, the dev has to ask Valve to generate them.
