Steam cannot install/update games "No Internet Connection" even when the game is fully installed and has no new updates
So this randomly started happening today, and I cant figure out whats wrong here. Ive tried resetting my internet, Ive tried changing my download region, and Ive tried to restart my computer, and a bunch of other stuff, but nothing works. It usually just kicks me out of updating my games, as in, it starts to update it, then goes back to the update queue, and even the games that are fully installed with no new updates try to install an update, then say no internet (I have internet connection.) anyone know whats going on?

So I'm not the only one! I'm trying to launch Deceit. It used to work an hour ago, but now it tells me there is an update. After clicking ok, I get the "no internet connection error while updating" message. It happens with Elden Ring too! If I go and check downlaods, I have two unscheduled downloads: Deceit and Steamworks. Cannot get any of these to start.

I am having the same issue! Not sure what the problem is. Cannot validate any of my game files either... Hopefully someone can offer a useful suggestion.

Same here. It's happening to me with Elden Ring. The last update has already been installed, I cannot launch the game, and I get an error message about having no internet connection. Pretty annoying. This is why I still cherish physical media.

This is happening to me. I'm trying to play outer wilds. I've tried a lot of the suggested things... I'm stuck on two of the fixes because the places they tell me to go to don't exist?

----------------
Repair Library Folder
The Steam library folder contains all of your installed games on disk. These folders need to be writable by all users in order to update properly. Sometimes these user permissions break and need to be refreshed.

Navigate to your Steam -> Settings -> Downloads -> Steam Library Folders -> Right click on folder -> Repair Library Folder

Verify Local Files
Sometimes files on hard-disks and other storage devices become corrupted because of bad hardware, software crashes, power surges etc. Steam can verify the correctness over installed game files and fix them if necessary.

Find Game in Library -> Right click game title -> Properties -> Local Files -> Verify Integrity of Game Files
------------------

I cannot right click on anything so wtf. There is a checkmark box that is either chekced or not and that is it. And I cannot right click on... the game title? I'm so confused. And properties does not come up. I literally just wanted to play a quick 20 min game before dinner like.... why is nothing working

Funny. Seemingly Elden Ring can't launch due to steam servers having issues. Gotta love EAC. :praisesun:

This has happened before, its an issue from Steams side. Not even changing the download region, restarting or any other thing will help it. You just have to wait it out. Usually takes a couple hours so sit back and do something else
