PS3 Controller does not work in any steam games

I have installed the SCP toolkit, but steam does not recognize my controller. I have windows 10 and windows does recognize my controller, so does the SCP software.
I have tried numerous things, including chaging the options in the controller settings on steam, but nothing works.
I read some previous posts about people with similar problems, tried removing the controller in windows, plugged it back in, it did not work.
Please help

SCPToolkit not needed, uninstall.

You need to install an older version of PSNow which installs the driver for DS3.

Note: Newer versions of PSNow do not include the driver for DS3.

Note: you can update to the latest version of PSNow as the installed driver remains.on your system.

Thx for the reaction.

I installed PSnow version from the link. I got a message to install the PS3 drivers so I clicked yes obviously, but after installing still Steam does not recognize my controller. So it did not work unfortunately...

Did you uninstall SCPToolkit so there was no conflict?

SCPToolkit uninstalled, still does not work.
I tried the DS4 windows, I know this used to work for me, but the program does not recognize my controller, while windows still does...
I really do not know what to do here. Very frustrating that a big platform like Steam can not make a simple thing like this work and I am not able to play any games with a joystick....

Installing the DsHidMini actually worked. I used these instructions to install it and as soon as I did, a pop-up from steam about my joystick appeared.
